About This Event
Tenelle Christine Luafalemana, known simply as Tenelle, is a dynamic American Samoan singer-songwriter from Carson, California. Born on July 21, 1988, she grew up in a family of Samoan descent and originally pursued softball before discovering her passion for music. At age 12, she began training with renowned vocal coach Tim Carter (who’s worked with Beyoncé and Willow Smith), and later performed with her uncles’ band Chord Brown around Southern California. Her sound blends smooth R&B, reggae, and pop—often called “Island R&B”—delivering soulful vocals, feel-good vibes, and powerful live energy.
She represented American Samoa in the American https://myalaskatix.com/events/tenelle-5-18-2026-230539Song Contest and has built a loyal following with her melodic reggae-pop tracks. Whether headlining island nights or bringing the heat at venues like Koot’s, Tenelle’s music celebrates her roots while connecting with fans through heartfelt lyrics and high-energy performances.
