Scott McMurren and the Alaska Travelgram team are bringing together the top tours, guides, transportation and lodging companies for a week-long virtual scavenger hunt, exploring every adventure Alaska has to offer. The 2021 Quest was a huge success and we are excited to bring back this exciting event once again!

More than five ways to win!

We took your feedback and created even more ways to win 

Top of the Leaderboard: Grand prizes will be awarded for those in the top tier of the leaderboard. Complete as many challenges as you can to be at the top of the leaderboard by the end of the week (this will often be a team). 

49th Position: Grand prize for the team (or Party of One) in the 49th position. We love our mid-packers! If there is a tie for 49th position, the prize will be awarded by random draw. 

Prizes of the Day: Complete the special daily challenges to ensure you’re entered to win our prizes of the day. We’ll do a random draw from those that complete these challenges. We’ll have several each day to ensure you’ve got lots of chances to win. 

Party of One: We know it’s harder to get to the top of the leaderboard when you’re playing as an individual so we’ll have prizes each day for those competing as individuals.

Out of Towners: We’ll have special prizes each day for those playing from outside of the greater Anchorage area. You may not top the leaderboard but we’ve got lots for you too!

Special Mention Prize: Each day the judges will choose some of their favorite entries to recognize those that have “wowed” us. Plus we'll have a Super Special Mention prize for the team or party of one that really impressed us throughout the week.

How it Works

The hunt will take place over 7 days. You’ll be using our handy app, Goosechase, on your smartphone or tablet to track your missions. From snapping photos, filming videos, to answering trivia questions about our beautiful state. Each challenge you complete gives you more chances to win! Every task completed is an entry.

Basics:

1. Complete these tasks on your own as a Party of One or grab your crew and make a run as a team.
2. Teams can be up to four people. Must be 18 years of age to play. 
3. Maximum of one team per household. Individuals from separate households may be on a team together but will only be given one sticker (so you'll need to be in the same town).  
4. For many challenges you’ll need to hold up your team’s sticker to verify you’ve completed the challenge during Quest week.
5. Most prizes are a trip for two so take this into consideration when choosing your team.
6. A smartphone or tablet is needed to play.
7. Judge’s decisions are final. 
8. You can play from anywhere around Alaska or the world (here's looking at you snowbirds!). 

Pick Up vs Mail Tickets

We will have in-person pick up for your sticker/registration material March 16/17 in Anchorage and Palmer and a last chance pick up March 21 in Anchorage/Palmer. Consider this when choosing your ticket type. If you can't make one of these dates or locations, choose "Mail" for your ticket and we will send you the material via USPS (there is an additional $5 charge for mailing). We are unable to send tickets internationally. Mail will not be an option after March 14th to ensure you get your materials on time.
