Matchstick Productions is changing the formula of the ski movie again. This film features just four skiers at different points in their careers. Each of the four athletes will bring along their own hand-picked team to help highlight their favorite ski locations and experiences. Return to Send'er will explore what propels each skier and provide an intimate look at how they pursue their lifestyles and careers. Big ski film releases typically feature a cast of 15-20 skiers. We want to change that model and give four different skiers—a veteran, a rookie, a big mountain ripper and a freestyle phenom — a chance to tell their stories. Each skier will be featured in personal 8-10 minute segments; at the end of the season, the four will convene for a heliskiing trip for the ages.

This film will feel like five different films or short stories, each with their own sense of individuality and character. For years people have talked about giving viewers an opportunity to really get to know the star athletes. The film will culminate by bringing all of these different visions, personalities and levels of experience together at Selkirk-Tangiers heliskiing located in the interior of British Columbia, where exceptional things are destined to take place.
